The short version: the site is free to play, it is offered as it is, and the pictures belong to the people who made them. The rest of this page is the same thing said more carefully.

Playing here

Doing a jigsaw here is free and needs no account. The site is young and will grow: we expect it to carry ads one day, and to offer optional extras such as accounts. In return for being free, the site is provided as it is, with no promise that it will always be available, always be correct, or always keep working the way it does today. It is a small site run by one person, and things will occasionally break.

Your puzzles are saved by your own browser and not by us, which is explained on the privacy page. Please keep your own copy of anything you would be sorry to lose, because we do not hold one.

The pictures

Every picture here is used under a licence that permits it: public domain works, museum open access collections, and freely licensed photography. Each one shows its photographer, its source and its licence on its own puzzle page.

Those licences cover the way the pictures are used here, as part of a puzzle. They do not pass to you, and they are not a general permission to reuse the images.

So please do not extract, copy or redistribute the pictures as image files, and please do not scrape the site in bulk or automate your way through it. This is not house style. Several of the licences we rely on permit our use precisely because the site serves a puzzle rather than handing out files, and we intend to keep that true.

If a picture here is yours

Write to contact@jigsawgrove.com and it will be taken down. The contact page says what to include. We would rather remove a picture than argue about it.

Who runs the site

Operated by David London, Israel. Jigsaw Grove is run by a private individual, not a company. Contact: contact@jigsawgrove.com.

Law

These terms, and anything arising from your use of the site, are governed by the law of Israel.

Changes

These terms will change as the site grows, for example when ads or accounts arrive. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the date below moves whenever it changes.
